In the second (before) picture, you can see that Jesus is lost in a lack of reverence. This is a giant oil painting. The theme was the psalm. My intention was to create a feeling of depth around Jesus, and give Jesus due reverence in giving Him more focus on the eyes thus the hearts and minds of all those that actually see Him, as opposed to just noticing Him before his surrounding was painted. The eyes cannot help but see Him. He is out of the depths and the brilliance around Him is like the brilliance of the resurrection, heaven and He who is light and love. My hope is that more will be drawn to Him physically and spiritually in experiencing Jesus in this way.
